Some Observations of the Liver Function in the Treatment of Minimal Pulmonary Tuberculosis

Abstract
It has been reported that advanced tuberculosis cases are often accompanied with impaired liver and metacholine and methionine correct impaired liver function.
The present. report is based on 15 cases of minimal pulmonary tuberculosis which confirmed by ,the classification method of N. T. A. and clinically these cases were observed to have a positive C~C^¢¥li"ver function test without enlarged liver.
In all cases, Dakada reaction, erythrocyte sedimentation rates and defbrinated erythrocyte sedimentation rates and plasma protein fractions are observed. The patients are treated with IN.H and PAS for two months and are also given with metacholine for two months thereafter. k ,The following results can be summarized.
A) The negative tendencies of Dakada reaction after treatment are considered due to increased 7-globulin and decreased A/G ratio. l- .
B) The degree of lowering E.S.R. and defibrinated E.S.R. are related with decreased fibrinogen Ii contents in plasma.
In this view, the chemotherapy combined with metacholine in the minimal pulmonary tuberculs has much more contributable effects in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis compared to advanced cases.
